The culmination of ADT’s performance programs, Bring it Home brings together a professional cast of resident and guest dance artists to share their craft with our island home and celebrate the artistry of Maui’s own.

MEET THE CHOREOGRAPHERS:

Hallie Hunt is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and movement researcher who has lived and worked on Maui for the past twelve years. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Adaptations Dance Theater, where she also serves as a resident choreographer and dance artist. Trained at Western Ballet, Ballet San Jose, Lines Ballet, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Hallie has performed with Ballet San Jose, Lines Ballet, The Foundry, and Artship Dance Theater, among others. She has completed residencies across the U.S. and internationally, including at the Merwin Conservancy and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, and has taught extensively throughout Maui, sharing her belief in the power of dance to transform lives.

Charlotte Griffin, raised in Durham, NC, is a contemporary choreographer in Southern California and the founder of milkleaf, a dance company generating original works for live performance, experimental film, and multidisciplinary installation. Looking closely at the enduring and transitory nature of the human experience, Griffin celebrates collaboration across a broad aesthetic and technological field. She has choreographed for the Cambrians, the American Dance Festival, BJM Danse, ArcDanz, Springboard Danse Montreal, The Yard, and more. A dedicated educator, she devises nourishing artistic praxis in modern technique, composition, and screendance for the next generation of dancers at UC Irvine. Charlotte holds a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School and MFA from UT Austin.

Emily McKeon (choreographer for Pivot): Emily was born and raised in Maui, Hawaii and graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with her B.F.A in Dance Choreography and B.S. in Education Sciences. She has danced for Salt 2 performing works by Alice Klock, Elijah Labay, Garret Smith, and others. This past year, Emily was promoted to full company member with SALT, premiering in works by Rena Butler, Ching Ching Wong, and Brandon & Racheal Alley. Emily has been part of ADT's Bring it Home concert since its inception, appearing as a dancer and now, as Pivot's lead choreographer.
