Summer performance series

We are proud to announce the inaugural performance dates for The Bring it Home, Summer Performance Series an annual dance concert in which local and international professional dancers will collaborate to perform original contemporary work led by ADTs resident choreographers. The first Bring it Homeperformances will take place June 17 and 18 at Seabury Halls `A`ali`ikūhonua Creative Arts Center.

This year’s "Bring it Home" will feature four artists who currently reside on MauiADTs Executive Director Amelia Couture, Artistic Director Hallie Hunt, Nicole D. Yezzi, and Hanna Claerboutas well as three professional Hawai'i-raised dancers who currently work outside of the state: Kelsey Greenway, Ali McKeon, and Katie Istvan.

Alvin Ailey IIs Nathaniel Hunt, who has repeatedly performed on Maui as a mentor and guest artist with the local nonprofit student dance company, Alexander Academys Performing Company, will also share the stage as the special guest artist for this two-day showcase of professional contemporary dance.

Amelia Couture & Hallie Hunt

Couture and Hunt have been creating work for ADT since 2012 when they co-created ADT’s first work “Adaptations.”  They have continued their dynamic partnership as directors (Executive and Artistic respectively) and as choreographic collaborators.  This year both women will premier new works for “Bring it Home.”
